Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites researchers, students, and healthcare professionals to participate in the in-person session of the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS), which will take place as part of the PMNET (Precision Medicine Network) Forum on October 9, 2025, from 13:00 to 14:30 at the Latvian National Library, -1 floor, Room C.

EATRIS brings together more than 150 research institutions and universities from 15 countries to support the development of translational medicine in Europe. Its goal is to facilitate the translation of scientific discoveries into practical solutions for patient care. Since August 2023, Latvia has been a full member of EATRIS, with RSU serving as the coordinator of this collaboration in Latvia.

The event is organised under the project “RSU Participation in the Horizon Europe Program” (No. 1.1.1.5/3/25/I/014). The project implements one of the new Latvian ERIC partnership and action plans, aiming to integrate Latvian institutions into European strategic research infrastructures.

During the event, memoranda of cooperation will be signed between RSU and healthcare institutions actively involved in research. This will open new opportunities for medical and laboratory specialists, strengthen a multidisciplinary approach to translational research, and foster closer collaboration between the academic and clinical environments.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about EATRIS services, opportunities, tools, and their practical applications in both academic and industrial settings. An open discussion will be held on the needs of researchers and the development of EATRIS in Latvia. A separate segment will feature experience-sharing from Norway regarding participation in the EATRIS network, followed by a discussion.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet and discuss relevant questions with Emanuel Oldoni, EATRIS Scientific Director in Personalised Medicine.

A detailed agenda can be found at the bottom of the page, under the “Satellite Events” section: “PMNET Forum EATRIS Session Agenda.”
