11th Student Scientific Conference "Current Issues in Sports Education"

On 20 February 2026, Daugavpils University will host the annual 11th Student Scientific Conference “Current Issues in Sports Education.”

The conference aims to promote students’ research activities by highlighting challenges and solutions in the fields of sport and health, providing opportunities to share experiences, become acquainted with the latest research, and generate new ideas in the areas of health and physical activity.

The conference will address issues related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and health-related behaviour among learners of different age groups, the development of physical abilities and qualities, and the improvement of teachers’ professional competencies to meet learners’ current needs.

The conference will take place from 10:00 to 15:00 on Zoom.

Students enrolled in teacher education programmes, academic staff, and other interested participants are invited to attend the conference.

Participants may take part either as presenters or as listeners. Each presentation lasts 7–10 minutes.
