The books "Tension fields. Anthology of Performing Arts Translations" opening celebration

The Latvian Academy of Culture in cooperation with the publishing house "Neputns" has published the book "Fields of tension. An Anthology of Performing Arts Translations". The book was created as a response to the need to study, understand and explain the phenomena that have been observed in the world since the second half of the 20th century and in the 21st century, and clearly influence the modern Latvian theater. In the publication, theories, personal prejudices and suggestions for thinking about contemporary performing arts practices can be read together. The anthology includes twenty-three authors such as Hans Thies Lehmann, Erika Fischer-Lichte, Tim Etchells, Milo Rau, Claire Bischoff, etc. c., texts and their fragments.The book opening event will take place on Friday, August 30 at 17.00 at the center of the "Homo Novus" festival at Marijas street 11, Riga.
