Business and Research Forum "CREATE VALUE"

On September 26, 2025, entrepreneurs and idea creators, researchers, students and school learning company creators are invited to participate in the business and research cooperation forum “CREATING VALUE” organised by the Vidzeme Open Innovation Centre, which will take place at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Valmiera. Interested parties are invited to register by September 22.

Forum participants will gain inspiration for developing high-quality business ideas, hear experience stories about successful research and business cooperation from the perspectives of both entrepreneurs and scientists, and will work practically to turn their ideas into solutions that meet market needs. The forum will be a meeting place for experienced entrepreneurs and young business creators, as well as researchers, students and school children. Special attention is paid to school learning company participants and educators, who are invited to register their classes with a single application.

The event program is divided into three parts:

In the inspiration part, participants will learn how to create a product that meets market requirements and attracts investor interest. Kristaps Banga, Accenture Growth and Innovation Strategy Manager, and Sigvards Krongorns, Verge HealthTech Fund Investment Analyst, will share their experience.

In the experience part, attention will be paid to integrating business development and research. This will be discussed by Aigars Lauzis, co-founder and CEO of the company “BeTRITON”, as well as Linda Lancere, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences researcher in the field of health and technology and representative of SIA “RehabIT”.

In the practical part, participants will be invited to learn how to accurately define a product problem and how to convincingly offer it to a client. Insights will be provided by Lilita Sparāne, expert at the Vidzeme Open Innovation Centre, and Agita Šmitiņa, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences assistant professor, organisational psychologist and business trainer.
