Conference “Deep Tech Atelier 2025”

On May 15th and 16th, the largest scientific and industry event in the Baltic States, the "Deep Tech Atelier 2025" conference, will take place in Riga. The event will bring together over 1,500 scientists, technology experts, entrepreneurs, investors, as well as representatives from public administration and civil society organizations, aiming to establish new collaborations and promote the development of business in knowledge-intensive sectors.

The Deep Tech Atelier conference is organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) and will be held for the seventh time this year. The event serves as a platform to explore the latest trends in technology, investment, business, and science, exchange business ideas, meet industry leaders, and build new international partnerships. The main topics of the conference will include quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, space and defense technologies, while also addressing current issues in investment attraction and innovation commercialization. The program will feature expert presentations, discussions, masterclasses, and networking sessions. During the event, there will also be a startup pitch competition, in-person booths, investor presentations, and other activities to create new business opportunities.

The conference partners and participants will include representatives from research, technology development, and business organizations, including Riga Technical University, the Latvian Space Association, the Latvian Quantum Initiative, the Commercialization Reactor, the innovation and business portal "Labs of Latvia," the Latvian Patent Office, the European Patent Office (EPO), the "BioPhoT" platform, the Latvian Science Council, "Riga TechGirls," the Latvian Startup Association "Startin.LV," the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Economics, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the "Plug and Play" startup accelerator, several venture capital funds including "ScalewWolf" and "HiQ," as well as technology giants such as "Nvidia" and "Infineon," innovation agencies like "Sprind," the European Innovation Council, Latvian and foreign accelerators like "Unilab," and the NATO Innovation Fund.

Funding for the event is provided by the ERDF projects "Innovative SME Business Development" and "Support for the Improvement of the Technology Transfer System," the European Recovery Fund, and the state budget.
