European Researchers’ Night 2025 – Uncover the Researcher Gene Within You!

On 26 September 2025, European Researchers’ Night activities will take place all across Latvia, offering an opportunity to explore science in an engaging and accessible way. More than 30 venues will host a wide variety of activities – experiments, excursions, science workshops, conversations with researchers, interactive stories, and more.

With the message “Uncover the researcher gene within you!”, everyone is invited to spark their curiosity, explore the world of science, hear personal stories, and take part in creative activities.

It is a chance to meet scientists, step inside laboratories, and understand how each of us can be part of the story of science.

The message highlights uniqueness, personal potential, and the individual contribution to research.

Free events will be available in cities across Latvia, including Riga, Jelgava, Ventspils, Valmiera, Salaspils, Cēsis, Liepāja, Daugavpils, and more – giving people of all ages and interests the opportunity to discover the world of science.

Visitors will be able to meet researchers and learn about their daily work, gaining insights into different fields of science. The aim of European Researchers’ Night is not only to broaden public knowledge and outlook but also to raise awareness of scientific achievements and promote STEM education, especially among young people, while emphasizing the importance of science in everyday life and its potential for future career choice.
