Online Workshop “Sports 360°: Research Findings for Better Sports Governance in Latvia”
About event
How can sports infrastructure be managed more effectively in Latvia, and how can data be used to support planning for the development of the sports sector? On 28 October, from 10:00 to 13:30, Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites municipal representatives, sports organisation managers, and other sector professionals to take part in the free online workshop “Sports 360°: Research Findings for Better Sports Governance in Latvia.” During the event, researchers from RSU and its partner institutions will present the latest research findings and recommendations for evidence- and data-based governance of the sports sector.
The workshop will focus on two significant issues in the development of the sports sector: the management of sports infrastructure and the socioeconomic indicators of the sports sector. Participants will have the opportunity to explore recommendations developed by researchers and learn how research results can be applied in planning the development of the sports sector and supporting decision-making processes.
The seminar is part of the national research programme Sports project #IMRSportsLV, which aims to generate knowledge and practical solutions for a more effective, data-driven, and sustainable development of the sports sector in Latvia.
In the first part of the workshop, RSU researchers will present the results of their study on sports infrastructure and recommendations for improving its management. The second part will focus on the socioeconomic indicators of the sports sector, their changes and development trends, providing data-driven insights into the sector’s development.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
The event will be held online. Participants are invited to register.
