Researchers’ Night 2026

On 25 September, Researchers’ Night 2026 will take place at more than 30 locations across Latvia, offering an opportunity to discover science in an engaging and accessible way. This year’s unifying slogan for European Researchers’ Night, “Discover the Nature of Science!”, invites everyone to explore science in all its diversity.

Free activities will give every visitor the opportunity to discover the true nature of science – a little mysterious, sometimes difficult to understand at first, but always fascinating! Take a look inside laboratories, participate in experiments and creative workshops, meet scientists, ask questions, and experience the joy of discovery.

A wide range of events will take place across Latvia.

The interactive map allows visitors to find event locations and learn about planned activities, their schedules, target audiences, accessibility, and whether prior registration is required. The programme is still being updated.

European Researchers’ Night in Latvia is organised by the Latvian Council of Science and the Research Latvia communication platform of the Ministry of Education and Science, in cooperation with Latvian educational institutions, research institutions, and organisations.

European Researchers’ Night 2026 communication activities are funded through the EU-funded project “More Effective and Smarter Implementation and Management of Latvia’s Science Policy”.
