Science Café “Shall We Talk About Biobanks?!”

Biobanks are becoming an important foundation for modern medicine and research, as they provide biological samples and data for the development of personalised medicine.

In the discussion, we will talk about the future of biobanks in Latvia, public trust, data security, and how to ensure the responsible and sustainable development of biobanks. We will also address how cooperation between science, healthcare, policymakers and society can promote the development of modern medicine in Latvia.

The discussion is organised within the framework of the University of Latvia project “Aurora Nexus: Connecting People, Science and Art”, co-funded by the European Commission programme “MSCA and Citizens”.
