Scientific and Practical Law Conference “Lex Scripta 2025”

On 21 November, the annual scientific and practical law conference Lex Scripta will take place at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Social Sciences (Kuldīgas Street 9C, Rīga). This year, the conference will focus on the theme Security Dimensions – from Individual Rights to Global Challenges.

The event will bring together legal experts, representatives of public administration and security institutions, academics, and researchers from across Latvia to discuss security-related issues ranging from the protection of individual rights to international and global security challenges.

The conference aims to promote interdisciplinary academic dialogue on the significance of the concept of security in legal science and practice, addressing current issues in the fields of human rights, cybersecurity, disaster medicine, national security, and the safeguarding of the rule of law.

The plenary session and thematic panels will feature representatives from the Office of the Ombudsman, the State Police College, the Emergency Medical Service, the Economic Court, Daugavpils University, CERT.LV, and other institutions. The conference programme is available on the website.
