Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and EATRIS Latvia invite researchers, clinicians, students, representatives of the innovation and health sectors, as well as other interested parties, to a seminar on the challenges of biomarker development and implementation in translational medicine.

The seminar will examine the path of biomarkers from scientific discovery to practical application in healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about European and Latvian experience in biomarker development, validation and implementation, as well as about the support opportunities offered by EATRIS in translational medicine and in fostering cooperation between academia, the healthcare sector and the innovation ecosystem.

The seminar will be moderated by Dr. biol. Inese Čakstiņa-Dzērve, PhD, Latvia.

At the end of the seminar, there will be a discussion on the challenges of biomarker development and implementation, featuring the seminar speakers and Catherine Larue, PhD, Luxembourg. All seminar participants are invited to take part in the discussion by asking questions and sharing their experience.

The event is organised within the framework of the project RSU Participation in the Horizon Europe Programme (No. 1.1.1.5/3/25/I/014), implementing Latvia’s ERIC partnership and action plan and promoting the integration of national institutions into European strategic research infrastructures.
