We invite social science and humanities researchers, students and other interested parties to an in-person seminar and discussion on qualitative research data management.

10 – 11:00 Seminar “Qualitative data and its management in the context of open science”

• Types and formats of qualitative data – text, audio, video, etc.
• How to maintain a balance between participant confidentiality and open science?
• Data security in practice – storage, access control and ethical aspects
• Examples of interview data management: from conversation to dataset

11 – 11:30 Discussion “Challenges in qualitative data management”

• Practical examples and possible solutions
• Exchange of experience among researchers
