Seminārs par Eiropas veselības datu telpas (EHDS) ietekmi uz biobankām: biobanku loma, ieguldījums un izmaiņas biobanku darbībā
About event
We invite interested participants to join a seminar on the impact of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) on biobanks, focusing on their role, contributions, and operational changes.
The seminar will feature presentations by Petr Holub, Head of IT at the European Biobanking Infrastructure (BBMRI-ERIC), and GDPR expert Irene Schlünder.
The discussion will explore how the European Health Data Space (EHDS) Regulation will shape the future of biobanking and molecular research. Key topics will include the transformation of biobank operations under EHDS, such as data governance, interoperability, access procedures, and compliance requirements, as well as the critical role of biobanks in providing high-quality, standardized data within this new framework.
Particular attention will be given to the practical challenges and opportunities faced by biobank and research professionals, ensuring that the discussion remains closely aligned with real-world applications.
The seminar will also feature Dzintars Mozgis from the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, representing Latvia’s national Health Data Access Body (HDAB), who will provide valuable insights into national-level implementation and alignment with EHDS objectives.
