Webinar on Horizon Europe programs

Online event
About event

Doctoral students and researchers at the University of Latvia are invited to participate in an informative webinar on the Horizon Europe programs – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and European Research Council (ERC) grants on October 31.

This will be an opportunity to learn more about the international research opportunities offered by both programs, as well as receive practical information on how to attract funding for your research projects.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program offers support for mobility, collaboration and career development for both doctoral students and researchers. In turn, the European Research Council program grants are intended for innovative research ideas in various scientific fields. Both programs apply the so-called "bottom-up" approach – this means that there are no specific thematic restrictions, but the main evaluation criterion is scientific excellence.

The webinar will be led by Dace Sīle, representative of the National Contact Point of the Latvian Science Council "Horizon Europe", who will share practical information to help young researchers plan their next career steps in science on time.

The webinar, which doctoral students and young researchers are invited to join, will take place on Friday, October 31 - from 15.00 to 16.30, remotely on the "MS Teams" platform. Joining link: click here to join.

The first part of the webinar will provide information about the "Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions" (MSCA) grants, while the second part - about the "European Research Council" grants.
