The audience will learn why it is important to read beyond the abstract, and will see practical examples of publications from scientific journals of various publishers, in which the lecturers have identified methodological and factual errors, as well as misleading interpretations of data. It will be explained what to pay attention to in a publication to assess its quality and significance critically. We will analyse why text and references generated by artificial intelligence cannot always be trusted. At the end, a discussion is planned about your experience in analysing scientific literature, as well as the current situation regarding the quality of available scientific literature.
