Paragraphs

The Institute of Organic Synthesis of Latvia is the leading center for the discovery and research of medicinal substances in the Baltic States. We are the place where Mildronate was invented. The institute has invented 5 anticancer preparations, antibiotics, drugs for the treatment of neurological diseases and several other preparations. The institute is 67 years old. 240 researchers, students and assistants work in 18 different laboratories.

OSI researchers conduct research in organic synthesis, drug discovery, pharmacology, and biochemistry to expand the frontiers of research and human potential in this world. However, at the same time, the institute's specialists are also involved in many studies commissioned by entrepreneurs to investigate and discover what is necessary for their work or service development.

We open the doors of the institute and invite you to visit to see the world of chemistry - surprising, interesting and accessible to everyone!
