For more than 10 years, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Medical Education Technology Centre (MITC) has provided the latest and most innovative technologies for the practical training of RSU students. A wide range of simulators is available, covering everything from surgical operations to childbirth.
Researchers’ Night 2026 programme:
- Try your hand at dental fillings and dentistry!
- Learn first aid skills!
- Military medicine – how do you move a patient onto a stretcher? How do you stop bleeding? Take part in training in an immersive environment room!
- Take a look inside a hospital emergency department!
- Operating room – wash your hands like a surgeon, tie a real surgical knot, and try a laparoscopic surgery simulator!
- 3D technology workshop – create your own 3D model and learn more about 3D technologies in medicine!
- Genetics laboratory – find out how DNA extraction is carried out!
- Movement and sport – try different simulators and training equipment and learn why movement is especially important for your body!
- An insight into forensic science.
- Student short film festival.
- Opportunity to meet researchers and learn about research projects, as well as study opportunities at RSU.
Other activities throughout the evening.

Event language: Latvian. Some activities will also be available in English.
Registration: No registration is required. School groups are also welcome without prior registration.
