Researchers’ Night 2026 Activities at the Space Exploration Centre:
Meteorite Identification Laboratory
Could the stone you found be a meteorite? In the laboratory, visitors will be able to examine various rock samples and test their properties using simple methods. Magnet, UV light, streak, reaction, and density tests will be carried out, as well as an examination of the stone’s surface and structure. By comparing the results, visitors will be able to determine whether the sample has characteristics typical of a meteorite.
Science Show
An exciting science show where experiments help reveal the principles of fire, air, energy, and motion. Here, science becomes visible, surprising, and understandable, showing that it is not only about formulas and laboratories, but is also part of our everyday lives and the world around us.

How to get there: The Space Exploration Centre is approximately 3.3 km from Cēsis Bus Station and Railway Station, which takes around 40–45 minutes on foot. Free parking is available at the centre for visitors arriving by private transport.
Accessibility: The Space Exploration Centre is accessible to people with disabilities and is family-friendly.
Event language: Latvian.
School groups are invited to visit the centre from 20:00 to 22:00.
