Ventspils Digital Centre / VIZIUM and Ventspils University of Applied Sciences promote STEM education, technological skills, curiosity, and the professional development of young people.
About the Researchers’ Night 2026 activities:
In cooperation with Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, VIZIUM invites visitors to discover the exciting world of science, focusing on space and technology. Throughout the event, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in interactive activities, search for answers, investigate, and experiment.
In the laboratory, you will discover traces of a mysterious alien, search for answers, and examine various pieces of evidence. In the space and technology quiz, you will be able to test your knowledge together with the whole family, while trying your hand at controlling robots will reveal how technology helps us explore the world around us.
Together with Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, you will learn how stars are formed, discover comets and other small bodies of the Solar System, and virtually visit the Irbene radio telescope site to gain an insight into the world of space research.

The mission of Ventspils Science Center VIZIUM is to educate children and young people about STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics with the help of expositions, creative workshops and science shows.
VIZIUM is like a city of the future, where with more than 80 interactive and educational exhibits, including creative workshops and science shows, you can get to know research in an exciting way and learn about topics such as physics and mathematics, modern technology and programming, healthy lifestyle, man and self-knowledge, geography, etc.
