Ventspils Science Center VIZIUM

Researchers’ Night at VIZIUM offers an exciting and creative environment where everyone – regardless of age or prior knowledge – can become a researcher. During the event, visitors can move freely between interactive science stations featuring experiments, challenges, games, and technology demos.

Each station offers a unique experience:

• Microscope Wonders – see salt crystals, fabrics, and other objects in a whole new light
• Robot Races – join the robot sumo challenge
• Secret Animal Tracks – identify footprints and guess which animal left them
• "Which Scientist Are You?" – find out your scientist type by taking a mini quiz
• News Detective – train critical thinking by analyzing media content
• Research Lab – measure solution volumes and test your precision as a researcher
• Code Cracking – decode secrets using a Caesar cipher
• Pour It Right! – test how accurately you can measure quantities

How does it work?

• Upon entry, you’ll receive an event map with all stations
• For each completed task – you’ll get a sticker or stamp
• Collect them all and receive a special sticker with this year’s theme:
• “I’m a Researcher – VIZIUM 2025 Researchers' Night”
