Two Researchers from Paris Visited The University of Latvia Quantum Computing Science Centre

October 21, 2026

QUANTA

Under the leadership of the University of Latvia Quantum Computing Science Centre, a working group has been established to coordinate collaboration with partners, including the Quantum Software Research Centre, the Paris Quantum Computing Centre, and organizations in Latvia interested in quantum computing applications.

Two researchers from Université Paris Cité visited the University of Latvia Quantum Computing Science Centre: Emile Larroque and Chandrima Kayal. The guests delivered lectures on their research topics:

  • Emile Larroque: “Certification Complexity of Boolean Functions”;
  • Chandrima Kayal: “Hardness Condensation for Decision Tree Measures by Restrictions”.

As a result of the visit, a joint research project on certification complexity was initiated. This collaboration has led to the submission of a paper to the conference Innovations in Theoretical Computer Science (ITCS 2027), further developing the research topic presented in Emile Larroque's lecture.
