Workshop on the European Translational Medicine Research Infrastructure EATRIS-ERIC
December 9, 2025
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites researchers, students, and healthcare professionals to an informative online seminar on the European translational medicine research infrastructure, EATRIS-ERIC, taking place remotely on 11 December 2025 from 15:00 to 16:30. The seminar will be held online, and participants are encouraged to register via the registration link.
EATRIS-ERIC is a European research infrastructure in translational medicine that brings together leading scientific institutes, clinical centres, and universities across 15 countries. Its goal is to provide a platform for turning laboratory-generated knowledge into practical diagnostic methods, therapies, vaccines, and medical technologies. Latvia has been a full member of EATRIS since 2023, and RSU coordinates the development and national-level collaboration of this infrastructure.
The seminar will be led by the EATRIS_Latvia National Node Coordinator, Director of the RSU Institute of Microbiology and Virology, Dr Zaiga Nora-Krūkle.
Working language: Latvian.
During the event, participants will learn about the opportunities, services, and tools offered by the EATRIS infrastructure for both academic research and industry needs. The seminar will explain how EATRIS-ERIC can help overcome limitations in infrastructure, expertise, and collaboration partners, thereby accelerating the path of innovations to patients.
The seminar will be valuable for researchers seeking to expand international collaboration, attract expert support, and leverage European-level resources to develop their projects. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical guidance on joining the EATRIS network.
