research entrepreneurship collaboration

Currently, there are nine competence centres operating in Latvia, which provide support to Latvian entrepreneurs in the development of new products, technologies, and services in various areas of smart specialisation (RIS3), promoting knowledge transfer and innovation development. Competence centres serve as cooperation platforms where companies and research institutions can implement significant research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects.

Competence centres regularly announce various innovation competitions, in which entrepreneurs can receive co-financing for industrial research, experimental development, and feasibility studies, thereby promoting the involvement of companies in R&D and I activities. Project competitions support projects from TRL 4 to TRL 8 levels, which range from concept validation to a finished prototype or market-ready solution. The activities of the competence centres are co-financed by European Union funds, including the Recovery Fund.

We invite entrepreneurs to familiarise themselves with the current #RecoveryFund project competition calls.
