Seminar "Building a Bridge Over the Wide Sea"
About event
Seminar "Building a Bridge over the Wide Sea" On December 5 at 2:00 p.m., the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia, Visvalža Street 4a, room 402, will host a diaspora language and culture research and education seminar "Building a Bridge over the Wide Sea".
The event is a meeting of two projects dedicated to diaspora issues. The diaspora teacher education distance learning program "Latvian Language as a Foreign Language Teacher" (No. 2-6.1e/20/84) has achieved its goals. In contrast, the grant "Latvian Diaspora Identity Transformations: Text, Language, Digital Environment" and the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism-supported project "Internal and External Consolidation of the University of Latvia" (No. 5.2.1.1.i.0/2/24/I/CFLA/007) continue to operate. The bridge between the two projects was the work of Assoc. Prof., who passed away suddenly this fall. Vita Kalnbērziņa, therefore, this meeting is dedicated to her memory.
