Sports coaches, parents of young athletes and sports professionals – this autumn, Rīga Stradiņš University and the Liepāja Academy of Riga Technical University invite you to a series of three seminars, “Science-Based Youth Sports: How to Recognise and Reduce Physical and Mental Health Risks?”

At the seminars, participants will be able to learn about the latest research results obtained in the first project of the national research programme “Sports”. They will be able to find out about the latest data obtained in Latvia, as well as recommendations for training practice on topics such as mental health, functional movement indicators and the health assessment of young athletes. The seminars are free of charge. The first is available both in person and online, while the others are available remotely only.

To be eligible to receive a certificate, you must register by 5 October and indicate during registration that you wish to receive a certificate!

To receive the certificate, you must register for and participate in all three seminars (4 academic hours). It will be valid for recertification by the LSFP. Within two weeks after the seminar, participants will receive the certificate at the email address provided in the application.

Interested participants can register either for all the seminars together or for each one separately.

Participation in the seminars is free of charge. After registration, access to Zoom will be sent two days before the seminars.
