Techritory 2025 – the international forum on digital transformation and connectivity – opened today, bringing together more than 1,500 participants from around the world. This year, special attention is devoted to security issues and future technologies, focusing particularly on protecting critical infrastructure, using drones and emerging technologies, and enhancing cybersecurity and network resilience. Forum discussions will also cover 5G and 6G network solutions, the application of artificial intelligence, the security of quantum technologies, and opportunities for international cooperation to strengthen societal and infrastructure protection.
This year’s forum places particular emphasis on the protection of critical infrastructure, including the digital resilience of the energy, transport, data centre, and port sectors. Special attention will be given to the use of drones, the risks and opportunities associated with new technologies, and GNSS signal disruptions and their impact on navigation and infrastructure. Participants will also discuss 5G and 6G network security, the development of integrated sensing and communication technologies, and the application of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies in protecting critical infrastructure. Through these discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how the latest technologies can strengthen societal security and resilience against a wide range of threats, including cyberattacks and physical disruptions, which are particularly relevant today.
A historic milestone is also being marked this year – the creation of the Team Latvia Digital consortium, officially launched with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation. This alliance symbolises the unity and global ambition of Latvian companies. The initiative brings together nine leading Latvian ICT companies – SIA "Elektroniskie sakari", LMT, TET, Citrus Solutions, LVRTC, Mikrotik, SAF Tehnika, Tilde, and the Latvian IT Cluster. The consortium’s goal is to pool resources and expertise to deliver integrated solutions in global digital infrastructure projects, strengthening Latvia’s export potential, fostering innovation, and supporting EU strategic initiatives such as Global Gateway. Team Latvia Digital enables Latvian companies to participate in major international projects by offering complex, secure, and sustainable solutions that meet high EU standards and the demands of global competition.

The forum program also highlights the Latvia–Moldova digital cooperation initiative, which lays the groundwork for strengthening Moldova’s digital infrastructure and establishing a national data centre.
As part of the project, several significant activities are planned to reinforce Moldova’s digital development foundations. A key focus will be on training programs for STISC employees and specialists from other public institutions to enhance their competence in managing EU financial instruments, as well as in project preparation and implementation.
Within Techritory 2025, the Baltic Microchip Competence Centre Memorandum will also be signed, underscoring the Baltic States’ commitment to deepen cooperation in microchip technologies, strengthen regional partnerships, and create a foundation for the development of competence centres across the Baltics.
The event will be attended by representatives from the European Commission, NATO, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), as well as high-level Latvian officials, including Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže, and Minister of Economics Viktors Valainis. Their presence highlights the forum’s international importance and high level of expertise.
The forum reaffirms that by combining business experience, government support, and strategic vision, Latvia can be a significant partner in global digital transformation projects, contributing to a secure, modern, and sustainable digital environment.
