About event
AREI and PPC will offer activities based on the expression of the researcher's gene.
We are each made up of genes, and we each have our own researcher gene; only its expression differs.
In the dominant homozygous state, the expression of the researcher gene is powerful, so such a person finds themselves practically working in science, asking questions, studying various signs and diseases, analysing data, and creating new knowledge, and in our case, new varieties.
In the heterozygous state, the researcher's gene can partially manifest itself by combining not only the desire to learn but also the desire to pass this knowledge on, through practical work with farmers, students, and manufacturers.
In the activities we offer, visitors can discover the gene they have through practical work. Their gene may be dominant homozygous, directing them to become a real scientist and devote themselves to discoveries that will improve our lives in the future, solving various current problems. His gene may be heterozygous, so his path is connected with practical work in other science-related fields, which are not unimportant. On the contrary, strong and expert researchers with a scientific mindset are needed here too.
In addition, visitors will be able to become acquainted with various plant diseases, learn how to distinguish them, and determine how these diseases affect the quality of plant products, as well as whether these plants and their products are suitable for consumption.
Together, we will explore the differences between integrated and organic farming, and learn about plant protection in these two growing systems.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet PPC researchers and explore our laboratories, which are typically closed to the public, and learn about what in vitro research is and why it plays a crucial role in our scientists' daily work.
