The Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics (AREI) is a leading field plant breeding institute with more than 100 years of history. AREI conducts field plant breeding, breeding technology research, quality research, sustainable rural development and economic analysis in agriculture. Its activities take place in four locations in Latvia, ensuring the transfer of knowledge into practice.
