RTU HPC Centre invites you to an online training session on optimizing high‑performance computing applications.

The High‑Performance Computing (HPC) Centre of Riga Technical University, in collaboration with Europe’s leading experts, invites researchers, technical specialists, and HPC users to apply for a specialized online training programme. Over the course of an intensive three‑day programme, participants will gain knowledge of performance analysis for parallel HPC applications and practical approaches to optimization.

The training is organized in partnership with specialists from the POP Centre of Excellence, representing the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the Jülich Supercomputing Centre, and the University of Versailles Saint‑Quentin‑en‑Yvelines.

What will participants learn?

The programme is designed to provide both theoretical understanding and hands‑on skills using modern profiling and analysis tools. The training will cover the following key areas:

• POP CoE methodology: assessment of scalability and performance of parallel applications, including identification of typical issues in HPC environments.
• Practical analysis tools: in‑depth work with systems such as MAQAO, Scalasca / Score‑P, and Paraver / Extrae.
• National support: an overview of the opportunities provided by the Latvian PRACE national node, available support instruments, and access to European‑level HPC resources.

The training will be led by internationally recognized experts: Marta Garcia‑Gasulla (BSC), Cédric Valensi (UVSQ), and Brian Wylie (JSC).
