Information Day: "Climate-resilient Future: Horizon Europe Cluster 5 and Mission Guide"

The event aims to introduce the opportunities of the "Horizon Europe" Cluster 5 "Climate, Energy and Mobility" and the missions of the European Union (EU) that promote a sustainable and climate-resilient future.

The event will cover the following missions:

• Adaptation to Climate Change;
• 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear Latvian success stories, learn about practical participation in EU projects and get acquainted with current financing approaches, including the lump sum model.

The event will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the recently launched MULTICLIMACT project, which provides for comprehensive adaptation to climate change - improved urban resilience, preparedness and responsiveness of residents and the built environment to environmental and climate threats. Let's take a closer look at the example of Riga.

Meanwhile, the DECODIT project, which involves the Latvian company RENESCO, is developing digital tools that help citizens make informed decisions about energy efficiency and sustainable energy consumption, with a special focus on digital skills and participation of society.

The Zemgale Planning Region is one of Latvia's representatives in the EU mission project "Adaptation to Climate Change", where activities are implemented at the regional level to create a climate-resilient future and strengthen cooperation with other European cities and regions.
