Opening of the Interdisciplinary German Research Center at the University of Latvia Faculty of Humanities

On June 26 of this year, at 4:00 p.m., the Interdisciplinary German Research Centre (IDR) of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Latvia will be opened at the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia, Science House.

The center is based on an interdisciplinary research and study working group that combines various fields and approaches of science, focusing on the study of historical and contemporary connections between Latvia, the Baltics and Germany (as well as the German-speaking cultural space in Europe) in the fields of culture, society, science and technology. The centre coordinates, supports, and promotes joint academic, research, and study activities of the University of Latvia and its partners – institutions from Latvia, the Baltic, Germany, and other European countries. They are aimed at a broader and deeper integration of the educational and cultural space of the European Union.

The event will be held in English and German.
