"Postdoctoral Research" Third Selection Round Conditions for Research Applications Related to Economic Activities

Seminar for entrepreneurs and other interested parties on the conditions of the third selection round of the measure 1.1.1.9 "Postdoctoral Research" for research applications related to economic activities.

The seminar will take place on June 27, 2025 at 11:00 online. During it, we will provide detailed information on the preparation, submission and evaluation conditions of research applications.

Benefits for the company by obtaining funding for the implementation of a research application:

• You will develop research in your company with the support of a highly qualified postdoctoral fellow;
• You will receive up to 192,360 EUR in public funding within the framework of one research application;
• Research, training and publication costs will be covered, including laboratory services, conference participation, and scientific publications;
• There are no restrictions on the remuneration of a postdoctoral fellow - your company's policy determines this;
• You will strengthen cooperation with scientific institutions and pave the way for innovations.
• The program is suitable for both small and large companies - funding intensity from 50% to 85%, depending on the size of your company and the availability of project results.

Deadline for submitting research applications: from May 19, 2025 to July 18, 2025 at 17.00

Who can submit applications:

• Entrepreneurs (micro, small, medium, large)
• Scientific institutions that carry out economic activities

Type of implementation of the research application:

• Individually or in cooperation with a Latvian or foreign institution, university or entrepreneur that provides infrastructure or human resources to the postdoctoral fellow

Types of research:

• Fundamental or industrial research related to economic activities

Funding:

• Maximum funding: EUR 192,360
• ERDF support intensity: up to 85%, with the possibility of increasing to 80% for industrial research if public access to the results is ensured

Application duration:

• Up to 36 months, but no longer than June 30, 2029
