We invite you to participate in the in-person seminar of the BioPhoT platform, “Responsible Research and Innovation. BioPhoT Ethics and Inclusion Guidelines,” on June 3 at 3:30 PM.

​An ethical and socially responsible approach to research and innovation helps identify potential risks in a timely manner, strengthens public trust, and promotes the development of solutions that are safe, reliable, and aligned with the needs of different groups in society. The aim of this seminar is to introduce implementers and applicants of BioPhoT research and innovation projects to the BioPhoT Ethics and Inclusion Guidelines, with particular attention to the framework of responsible research and innovation, artificial intelligence ethics, and inclusion issues. The seminar will be led by RSU lecturers and researchers Dr. Uldis Vēgners, Laura Bitiniece, and Diāna Kiščenko.

​Topics covered during the seminar:

  1. ​BioPhoT Ethics and Inclusion Guidelines,
  2. ​the framework of responsible research and innovation,
  3. ​ethics of artificial intelligence (AI),
  4. ​inclusion in research and innovation.
