"StartUP Festival" in Daugavpils

On September 12, the first Latgale region startup conference – “StartUP Festival” will take place in Daugavpils.

The Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA), in cooperation with partners, invites you to an inspiring one-day conference dedicated to innovations, technologies and investment attraction. Its goal is to highlight the importance of startups in regional development, showcasing the opportunities offered by cooperation with science, research, and technology, as well as promoting more active involvement of local entrepreneurs in innovation processes and export opportunities.

The event will be especially valuable for startups and idea creators, regional entrepreneurs, students, investors, as well as anyone interested in the startup environment and innovation development in Latvia.

Program:

• Practical lectures and panel discussions on the startup ecosystem
• Inspiring examples from Latvian startup success stories
• SSE workshop for creating and presenting your investor pitch
• EIT Food discussion on the implementation of DeepTech technologies in food chains
• Topics on the possibilities of artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and security innovations
• Examples of cooperation between research and entrepreneurship
• Information on available funding and ways to attract investment
• Meetings with accelerators, investors, LIAA and other support organisations
• Tour of Daugavpils University laboratories, informal networking and other activities.
• The Minox Expo zone will also be open throughout the day, where you can get acquainted with inventions, as well as stands of support organisations.

The working language of the event is Latvian.

The working language of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE) workshop is English.
