Workshop in Ventspils on microplastic pollution on beaches

As part of the Interreg Central Baltic Programme project CLEAN Beach, the method of collecting beach microplastic pollution samples is being improved, making it simpler, cheaper, more effective and more accessible. As part of the project, on Thursday, August 21, from 10:00 to 14:00, we invite representatives of local governments, beach area managers, as well as other interested parties to participate in practical testing of this method at Ventspils Beach (exact location here).

During the event, there will be an opportunity to try out the sample collection, provide feedback on the developed method and express an opinion on its potential to be included in the beach management routine.

Also, during the event, you will be able to learn how to independently collect microplastic samples and report on plastic pollution observed in the environment using the website "Rosgis".
