Researchers’ Night 2026 Activities
The University of Latvia invites school students, families, and everyone curious to visit event locations both in the capital and in the regions. It will be an opportunity to meet researchers, observe and try out experiments, enjoy performances, take part in workshops, and discover how the knowledge that shapes our everyday lives and future is created.
Visitors can look forward to science improvisation, short talks by young researchers, interactive installations, experiments and practical workshops, meetings with researchers, as well as performances and a wide range of activities for everyone interested.
At the Academic Centre, visitors will be able to explore science in five thematic zones:
• Light and Matter;
• Voices of Atoms;
• The Art of Data;
• Living in the Future;
• Science Stage.
For the first time, the 2026 European Researchers’ Night at the University of Latvia is being implemented with the support of the European Commission within the project “Aurora Nexus: Connecting People, Science and Art”. The event programme has been developed based on the New European Bauhaus approach, which encourages the search for new points of connection between science, art, technology, and society.
